The comedian

Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

A representative for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the move was made after an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.

The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
