On Monday, Leicester Crown Court was told phone records and data retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout that period.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most publicized investigations and continues to be open.

Another voicemail, presented in court, documented Ms Wandelt declaring: "I realize I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I feel."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Suppose there is a small chance that I'm her? What then? Is that not important for you?"

"I do not need money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I simply desire to discover," the message continued.

The tribunal was advised that through electronic messages, SMS messages and calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a biological test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a bid to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "recollections" from a childhood with the McCanns.

The investigator, an investigator with the police force who gathered the information, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On 9 October 2024, Gerry McCann answered a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's answerphone declaring "I will continue and I will prove my point."
